Diploma Structure:
- The training program takes place at Gateway Montessori Training Centre “Gateway MTC”.
- Adult Learner must complete 160-180 hours of training that include:
- In-person tutorials on how to give lessons using the Montessori materials of the age range the Adult Learner applied for.
The Montessori philosophy:
- All required discussions related to planning, leadership, academic expectations, class management and child development.
- For Lower Elementary: 48 hours of Math, 24 hours of Language, 48 hours of Culture, 36 hours of Philosophy, 24 hours of Class Organization, Child Development and other areas.
- For Early Childhood: 24 hours of Math, 24 hours of Language, 24 hours of Culture, 24 hours of Practical Life Experience, 24 hours of Sensorial, 36 hours of Philosophy, 24 hours of Class Organization, Child Development and other areas.
- Adult Learner must complete 160 hours of teaching practice at Gateway International Montessori School or any other Montessori environment that meets the required standards to serve as a practicum site.
- Adult Learner must finish 20 required essay questions assignments according to the age range he/she applied to be trained for.
- Adult Learner must make a case study on a student that he/she chooses from his teaching environment during his practicum year, stating the reason of their choice.
- Adult Learners must finish all the required reading assignments.
- Adult Learner must create a full scope and sequence for all the required areas of the age range he/she applied to be trained for, provide a point of view for the way of sequencing and two detailed, step by step lessons in each area.
- One material is required for material-making by the Adult Learner from each area with reasoning for the choice of material.
- Adult Learner must complete all the required work for his/her Album, and hand it in before the exams for grading.
- Pass a practical exam of giving one lesson from each area; Math, Language and Cultural, along with one of the Great Lessons (LE), PLE lesson and Sensorial Lesson (EC).
- Pass a written exam of six essay questions on all the Montessori areas of the age range he/she applied for, class management, leadership, Montessori philosophy and child development.

Our Montessori Training programs are essential for effective teaching in a Montessori setting, ensuring that educators are well-prepared to meet the diverse needs of their students.
Philosophy Course: Adult Learner shall:
- Attend the Montessori philosophy hours in full. (36 Credit Hours)
- Answer the three assigned essay questions assignments.
Condensed Course: “Summer Program” – 50 Hours
- A two-week program of on-site training sessions, philosophy discussions and lessons practice.
- One material is required for material-making by the Adult Learner from any area of his/her choice with reasoning for the choice of material.
- Adult Learner must finish all the required reading assignments and book discussions.
- Adult Learner must finish eight required essay questions assignments.
